TOPIC: Lean 101 - It's not just for the factory

Are LEAN concepts effective throughout your organization or, has LEAN stopped at the manufacturing door? Many leaders are struggling to develop their team's ability to see waste outside the factory. Following a product or service flow from end to end will enable your team to become effective at identifying and eliminating waste. We will clarify LEAN terms as applicable to an office environment and utilize value stream mapping to identify areas of waste.

Speaker: Marianne Tully, CPIM

Marianne Tully, CPIM, has been involved with LEAN concepts for many years and her background spans a diverse spectrum of environments and products. She's been in both public & private sectors, and her experience includes high volume automotive to low volume DOD contracting. She enjoys challenging processes and has been known to ask WHY, often! She has seen her share of different environments and has contributed to cost saving initiatives. Her diverse experience has enabled her to identify best practices and beginning steps for developing a LEAN office.
