Advanced Lean Six Sigma - what leading companies are exploring in "going to the next level." Are you ready?

About the presentation:

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) is the fusion of Lean and Six Sigma approaches that has been seeing increasing application and acceptance in American businesses over the last 5 years. LSS is an advanced application of Six Sigma and Lean in different and innovative ways. In this program we will explore what is going well, what has been disappointing, and the things that leading companies are examining in their quest to extend the application of Lean, Six Sigma, and Lean Six Sigma. Included is a hands-on exercise to help internalize the concepts learned.

Speaker: Ron Crabtree, CPIM, CIRM

Ron Crabtree, CPIM, CIRM, is an internationally recognized expert and author in cutting-edge business process improvement methodologies. An expert in communications, Crabtree has spent several thousand hours providing training and facilitation for large and small groups, in hundreds of organizations internationally on a wide range of topics. He has more than thirty years of experience in a variety of business settings from small privately held manufacturers, to Fortune 100 corporations and leading global management consulting firms.

Mr. Crabtree serves as adjunct faculty for Villanova (Operational excellence on-line professional certification program) in cooperation with the University Alliance developing courses and teaching Lean, Six Sigma, and Business Analysis.

He holds a BA in Management and Organizational Development, and is certified through APICS, the Educational Society for Resource Management, as certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM). Currently, Crabtree serves as a Director-at-Large for the Greater Detroit Chapter of APICS and is also a member of the Greater Detroit Section 1000 ASQ Chapter.

Crabtree writes the "Lean Culture" Department in APICS Magazine (60,000 international readers monthly) which focuses on World Class Value Stream Management, Lean and Six Sigma principles.

In addition to contributing to many other publications, Crabtree is active in consulting and conducting seminars and training across the country, for businesses and professional organizations of all kinds. Crabtree has spoken to diverse audiences, such as software user groups, APICS, The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), The Engineering Society for Advancing Mobility in Land Sea Air (SAE), PMA (Precision Metal Forming Association), the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), SAVE, and CPA Societies, ASQ, PIA/GATF, AME (Society for Manufacturing Excellence), the DBM Association, CPA Societies, and others too numerous to mention here.
