JULY 2006 e-NEWSLETTER

Greetings to my fellow APICS members, guests and friends!

For those of you wise and fortunate enough to have taken advantage of our June Dinner Cruise
Professional Development Meeting, did we have a GREAT TIME or what! See the website, pictures are
linked under the Membership page. For those of you unfortunate folks who were unable to make the meeting,
you really missed an awesome evening of professional and personal fellowship, food and refreshment, and
terrific views of the sunset from the dining room and upper open deck. Not to worry. We such a great time
that we plan to host another dinner cruise next June, so you can catch it then!

Summer is upon us, and we are now in the break between the 05/06 and 06/07 chapter seasons. Our Board of
Director's mid-year review is next weekend, where we will be going over our chapter's performance to plan
over the last season and finalizing plans for the upcoming season. We have a great agenda for driving our
PDP's content to focus and expand upon Supply Chain, Lean and Six Sigma this next season. Momentum is
being created with the CSCP program, which will dovetail nicely with our PDP topics.

There are no Professional Development meetings schedule for July or August. Our next scheduled PDP will
be September 12th at Tucsons. Our speaker for that evening will be Sybil Melin, CPIM, CIRM, CSCP. She
will present our kickoff meeting for the season, with her topic serving as an introductory Supply Chain,
Lean and Six Sigma overview.

So enjoy your summer, take some quality time to enjoy those close to you, and we all look forward to seeing you in September!
