Chaisson As I begin my presidency of the Florida West Coast Chapter, I think of how fortunate I am to be affiliated with such a strong and dynamic chapter. Recently I have been fortunate to visit with other chapter presidents at region meetings. The reorganization of APICS's national structure merges our region with two others forming the new Southeast District. This district includes three chapters that were devastated by Hurricane Katrina - New Orleans, Southern Mississippi and Southern Alabama. When asked to help, our own Jerry Kilty is working with these chapters as their representative and mentor to the region. That shows the level of innovation and organization within our chapter.
