A warm Florida winter's greetings to my fellow chapter members, guests and friends.

Everyone involved in the production and supply-chain business is at some level of focus on evolving their enterprise to become a Lean Machine, continuously driving down internal and external lead times and costs to provide more effective, competitive and profitable service levels to their customers.

This month our chapter is very fortunate to have Terry Lunn, CFPIM, CIRM, CSCP delivering his presentation on Advanced Lean at our February Professional Development Program. Terry brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the APICS Body of Knowledge in general and Lean Methodologies in particular. This promises to be one of our meeting highlights of the year, so if you're going to make any meeting this year, be sure to make it this one!

Please make your plans to attend now, and place your reservations with Tom Kilty at QMSKilty@ij.net by end-of-business Friday February 9th. Be sure to invite your colleagues or others who might benefit from this topic and professional presentation.

IMPORTANT REMINDER! This month is our second offering of four professional, full-day, in-depth seminar opportunities we are hosting this year, with all of the courses and registration details posted on our website at http://www.apics-flwc.org/BOD/Seminar/SeminarSeriesReminderFlyer011607.pdf. This seminar's topic is "LEAN", with Terry Lunn as our educator, and is schedule for Wednesday, February 14th 2007. Be sure to sign up now! Seminars
Best regards.

survey_says

Within the next couple weeks you will be receiving an electronic survey asking you for feedback on the chapter's communications, education and personal development activities. We want to know if your needs are being met. The survey is using an internet based tool called Zoomerang. If this works well, we may be able to receive more electronic feedback from you, our most valuable resource.

This survey is very important to help manage the direction of the chapter. Please respond as soon as you get the e-mail....there is a 10 day window for the survey.

To make reservations for the meeting....
Provide us with your name and company affiliation.
