Topic: Meeting the Demand of an On Demand World

In todayís highly competitive global environment it becomes essential to be responsive to anticipating and meeting customers needs. This presentation will focus on Demand Management, including the relationship between Demand Management, Sales and Operation Planning and Customer Relationship Management. It will discuss the importance of gathering customer intelligence and using this information to improve forecasting.

Our speaker for the evening, DANIEL A. MARINO is a Senior Partner of Marino Associates LLC, a manufacturing consulting firm specializing in ERP/MRP II, Lean/Agile Manufacturing, JIT, TQM, and related consulting and education. Mr. Marino has held the positions of Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations, Director of Manufacturing and Materials, Vice President of Manufacturing, as well as Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and MRP II Project Manager.

Mr. Marino has more than thirty years in materials and manufacturing with experience in ERP, Lean/Agile Manufacturing process, JIT, MRP II, Capacity Planning, Lean Supply Chain Management, and Global Procurement. Mr. Marino has planned, structured, developed and directed company-wide training and education programs. Mr. Marino has implemented SAP's R3 ERP system in a global environment and Oracle's ERP system and achieved CPIM from the American Production and Inventory Management Society.

Time has come to hold our annual Board of Directors elections. The election will be held the entire month of May. There will be three ways to vote: at the May PDP, by mail to the Chapter's PO Box and by electronic vote. There will be an electronic link to the electronic voting site. The elected board is announced in June and will be seated at the begining of the new Chapter year July 1, 2008.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining the Board, please contact me by calling 813-342-9190 during the day or by e-mail to: Keith Chaisson. We are looking for a VP of Finance to replace John Foster who has been travelling. A basic knowledge of finance and basic computer skills are all that are required.
