Hello from the Florida West Coast Chapter and the first newsletter for the new season. The Chapter Board begins meetings August 5, 2008. If you would like to participate, please contact me by e-mail: kchaisso@tampabay.rr.com. August is here and we are one month away from the start of the 2008/2009 PDM season. Keep watching for updates as the details are posted for each month's meeting. The confirmed presenters sound like an exciting year is coming. Our C-BAR/CMS data has been provided for review. The C-BAR (Chapter Benchmarking And Reporting) and CMS (Chapter Minimum Standards) are the way the Chapter is monitored for performance. A chapter must meet all 13 CMS standards. The scoring for C-BAR is tiered from Bronze, Silver and Gold. If a chapter achieves Gold for five consecutive years, the chapter achieves Platinum status. The Florida West Coast 
Chapter has 13 consecutive years at Platinum status. With this year's submittal,
we are going for our 14th straight year of Platinum.
