This month's APICS Professional Devopment Program opportunity is a presentation and tour of one of the Disposable Products Focused Factories at ConMed Linvateca, a leader in our area in Lean manufacturing operations. Conmed Linvatec, a global medical technology company, has successfully implemented and is using the techniques and methods we study regularly in our APICS Body of Knowledge curriculum.

In attending this tour, you will witness:

Two-bin Kanbans
Card-based Kanbans
U-shaped workcells
Focused Factory
Integrated Lean and MRP supply chain and production planning methodologies.

This a rare opportunity for us to to see these philosophies put to use successfully in a local high-tech manufacturing operation.
