A chilly Happy New Year greeting to my fellow APICS-FLWC members and friends.

This month we are very fortunate to have one of our own, Kristen Pressley, CPIM as our presenter on Global Sourcing. As the supply market becomes more challenging, the international market can offer solutions that provide a competitive advantage. Kristen's presentation will discuss:
  • Strategies and tactics on putting the right plan in place.
  • Evaluating counties, potential suppliers, international law and global trade policies.
  • Developing a robust global supply chain and a strategic sourcing plan to control cost while providing value to your company and customers.

Kristen is a Senior Global Category Manager at Catalent Pharma Solutions, responsible for managing $175 million dollars annually in global packaging spend. Areas of focus in strategic procurement, including contract creation and negotiation, strategic plan development, supplier relationship development, RFP execution, commodity tracking, cost reduction.

Kristen has career experience in industrial engineering, warehouse management, product costing, operations management, sales & operations planning, material management, forecasting, category management and global sourcing. Her career path has included employment at Cardinal Health, Coke Cola North America, VF, and Disney.

Payment is at the door. $20 for members, $30 for guests, $10 for students with ID. Cash, checks or credit cards accepted, checks payable to ìAPICS ñ FLWCî. Receipts will be provided for continuing education credit and reimbursement. Be sure to drop your business cards in the bowl for the door prizes.
